CHP1---God tells Joshua that his servant Moses is dead, and that Joshua is to go to Jordan and get all the people and bring them to the land God has promised them. God tells Josh to be strong and courageous because God is with him, and he says no other man shall stand before Josh. God then goes on to tell Josh to not forget about the laws he gave Moses, and to never forsake them. Verse 9 says to be strong and courages, because he is with us. Then Josh tells the people that they only have three days to be to the land God has given to them. Joshua then goes on to tell the people of the law that Moses had given them. The people agree to follow Joshua, and they tell him that they pray God will be with him as much as he was with Moses.
CHP2--- Josh sends two men as spies, to scope out the land, specially Jericho. They lodge at the house of Rahab, a prostitute. Then when some men come and asks for the two spies that Josh had sent, but she hides them, and told them that they had left already. She then went and talked to the men before they lay down, and she tells them that she has heard of what God did with Moses and the Red Sea. She asks to help her and her family and they tell her that as soon as they get to their land God will deal with her Gracefully. She then lets them go and the men tell her to tie a red towel on her window and to gather her family for god to help. They made her swear she tell knowone of their business. They left her place and she tied a scarlet to the window. They then return to Josh and tell him God has truly given us this land.
CHP3---God then Tells Josh to stay at least 2000 cubits away from the Levite priests, and they will spread the ark of the covenant throughtout the people. God then presents the ark of the covenant to the people.He then cuts off the flow of the Jordan river and God is to rest in the waters of Jordan? The priests then come and dip their feet in the water. Then Everyone crossed over Jordan keeping thier feet dry..
VERSE:Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” I loved this verse because it shows how god is truly with us through anything, and he has commanded us to go out and spread his word to everyone. 

APPLICATION--- I can apply this to me because I, of course have sinned. and in chapter one it says that if you do not turn your head from the laws God has given us, we will have succes. I feel that I can do much better in schoolwork, and at home, and at work if I am on fire for the lord, and I don't have crazy modern things in my head. Reading that whole paragraph just made me realise of how important it is to not lean away from God, and follow his ways and laws.
